I personally love that you give us chapters where Kurt and Dave are totally kismet and connected, followed by ones with drama and misunderstandings. Sounds like most relationships I know, especially when the people involved are communicating primarily in non-face-to-face ways. It just seems so completely realistic to me, and makes the characters enjoyably multi-dimensional.

Sometimes people who like/love each other say stupid or hurtful things, and need time to separate and cool off. Shit, I've been married for 16 years and you can believe me it still happens ALL THE TIME. I think this chapter illustrates this beautifully.
